Support built
on knowing
you.

Good Works is support work for people living with mental health challenges. Real relationships, real understanding, real support.

Good Works is run by Charles. Charles is a qualified, experienced, independent support worker, focused on excellence, compassion and understanding.

01

How we work.

We believe the best path to a participant achieving their goals is not a to-do list. It is rooted in the strength and quality of the relationship between support worker and participant. We focus on relationships, on community, on people, because at the core we are all human beings who need each other.

One worker, long term

You work with the same person, week to week. Trust builds, momentum holds, and support deepens as we get to know how you like things done.

Strengths first

Support starts from what you can already do and what you want to build. Every plan grows from your strengths, interests and goals.

Here for results

The measure of good support is what you can do that you could not do before. We plan around the goals in your NDIS plan and work until they are real.

02

What we support.

Flagship support

Getting out into the community

Support to take part in social, community and everyday activities: appointments, shopping, groups, recreation, and building the confidence to do more of it independently over time.

Capacity building

Life skills and structure

Skill-building for people living with mental health challenges: building routines and structure, staying engaged with appointments and services, and growing the confidence to manage day-to-day life independently.

Plan reviews

Support through NDIS reviews

Experience navigating plan reviews: gathering the right evidence, clear progress reporting, and walking alongside participants and families through the process so plans reflect real need.

Outcomes

Follow through that lasts

Real outcomes for the participant are our objective. We follow through, and ensure we do everything we can to support participants to turn their goals into reality.

Good Works delivers support work. It does not provide crisis intervention, and connects you with the right service when a situation calls for it.

03

Rooted in the community.

Charles studied social work and brings years of experience in mental health outreach, with a background working in the alcohol and other drugs sector. Good Works is built on strong local ties and a genuine drive to get results for every client.

Local mental health services

Established contacts at local mental health services, so connecting with the right supports is a warm introduction.

Neighbourhood houses

Working relationships with neighbourhood houses and community centres, opening doors to groups, programs and activities that fit each person.

Accessing services

Hands-on help to find, access and stick with the services that matter, from health and housing to education, employment and community programs.

Experience that counts

Deep familiarity with how the NDIS works day to day, and the persistence to follow through until things actually happen.

Centred in Melbourne's north, working across west, east and central Melbourne, with southern Melbourne where travel allows.
